FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions by {others}.
By: CFCM Staff

Q: My group is a group of {hardened executives},{joyful children},{pessimistic teenagers},{retired citizens},{weary mommies},{worn out pastors},{secular humanists},{pig farmers},{PETA affiliates},{college kids stressing on finals} ,{grumbling yet strangely happy church staff},{call center employees},{tap dancers},{giddy lawyers},{whoever else} does Sean have something for{them}?

A: Yep. A good story can change the world. Or at least the one {they},{you},{we}live in.

Q: Are you selling something?

A: Sean says, "More like offering something, new ways to think. The deal is this- I will help you and your group think in ways you have not thought about before. {Secular and corporate} or {faith based and spiritual}, {you and yours and me} will look at things differently. You owe me 25 cents if you just thought, ’oh no you wont’."

Q:Who is Sean {performing} {ministering} to now?

A: Interfaith, ecumenical, secular, catholics, protestants, people who believe in something, people who don’t know what they believe, people who don’t care what {you},{we} believe. He still works on a church staff, too.

Q: "A storyteller for today’s {teens}{adults}{kids}{pastors}{teachers}? You gotta be kidding me."

A: Storyteller Sean Buvala transcends the labels of modern, post modern, gen-x, boomers, greatest generation, gen-z, grunge, slackers, preps, jocks, goths, preps, and whatever other titles we have created. Guided by the Spirit, Sean calls on nearly two decades of performance ministry experience in stage and story. an image

Q: You promise you won’t do what with our group?

A: Sean says, "Personal pet peeve- hiring a speaker who spends half the time they are with your group saying, "This doesn’t really apply to you." Your group will never find me unprepared to work with {y’all}and {your theme.} Never ever unprepared.

Q: Okay, is this going to hurt? Are you going to scare off my {junior highers}, {preschoolers}, {the altar guild}, {my pastor}?

A:No, but it is a lot of work thinking our lives through story and metaphor regardless of age or status {whatever that means} of your participants. {stretch} And, rest easy, Sean is gentle when needed and always age appropriate with [your young ones,] too.

Q: Oh, a storyteller. How cute and quaint!

A: Sean’s stories cover life, death, spirituality, addiction, religion, faith, paradigms, loss, love, betrayal, joy, questions, answers, right, wrong, corporate-ese, family, teens, business, sacrament, learning, contemplation, anger, joy, relief, trust and other mature and challenging things. Score now: Effective? +/+ Quaint? -/-

Q: So, can you go full out {blog}{word slam}if we want?

A: Okay, slammers. Sean was doing {fray} before {fray} was invented. If {your group} wants to explore the edges, Sean lets the Spirit lead the dance there. {Point the way to truth}? Always.

Q: How big has the biggest {group} been?

A: So far, between 2 and 2500. Sean’s team once observed, "It takes a long time for thousands of people to laugh at once."

Q: So, what’s with the self promotion?

A: Sean says, "I’ve learned that this is about telling people that {the Creator}has shared something with me to share with others. That’s all."

Q: Can I afford this guy?

A: Yes. Talk to {us} about {your} needs. Assume nothing about money until we talk it out first. {God pays for what God orders.}
